Welcome to the Umatilla Volunteer Firefighters Association (UVFA) official website. The UVFA is engaged in multiple community events throughout the year.
Each Christmas we operate a Christmas tree lot in downtown Umatilla along with a crafters' bazaar. In conjunction with the Christmas tree lot we host a food baskets program for families, providing food, gifts and a tree for families who need a hand.
We also are also an integral part of the annual Landing Days celebration in June. We assist in the planning, implementation, and operation of the event. We also operate a concession stand serving "all American food", burgers, fries, corn dogs, etc.
In addition to our two big events each year we also sponsor youth sports teams, participate in parades, and we take Santa Claus to all the homes in Umatilla passing out candy to kids on Christmas Eve morning.
Perhaps our most important function is providing personnel to the Umatilla Rural Fire Protection District (URFPD). The URFPD is a volunteer fire department and ambulance service which gets its staff from the UVFA.
